Day two at the 2007 edition of the CA Boom show in Santa Monica
Yeah right! As if we would really miss CA Boom... we've been ardent supporters of this show since the beginning... and we love it. CA Boom... we love you! That's why we had that sky writer above the hangar today... of course they put up someone else's message, but whatever.
CA Boom was packed today. A long line to get in, a record number of exhibitors on hand, and an all but sold out home tour. And did I mention that new venue is awesome? The Hangar just suits the show so well.
We have pics for you... lots of them... but for now just a teaser posted after the jump, and more to come... we'll whip up some nice photo galleries for your hungry eyes soon.
The line to buy tickets (TOP). I got to skip ahead... the benefits of pre-registration... well, a media pass in my case, but those who shelled out ahead of time had the same luxury. And a groovy living wall hanging by Big Red Sun (BOTTOM). Speaking of which... I have a story about Big Red Sun from a previous CA Boom show... maybe later...
Yup. They printed it. Gin and tonic with a twist please.
Did I mention that I love the Barker Hangar space? Like a giant Quonset hut.
The outside exhibition area shown below... smaller this year... kinda serving as the foyer to the porta-restroom trailer thingy which was labeled with "The Bold Look of Kohler", though it didn't feature these fixtures... bummer.
Rockin' the exhibition area... a nice lounge space in the middle of it all. That would be KCRW's own Tricia Holloran at the DJ table.
