Located on one of the Venice canals on a 30' x 95' lot, the house is a modernist grid of steel, glass and brightly colored planes. The house is painted mainly in shades of bright blue offset by lime green, orange, red, blackened steel, natural maple, and polished concrete floors.

The east half of the ground level is occupied by sunken studio space that is the office of Glen Irani Architects. A series of steel wrapped desks are mounted on a track along the east wall of counter and storage space, allowing the desks to be pushed together or slid away to create a large open room. On the west side, a lap pool slides under the upper volume of the house, which is supported on orange steel columns. A lime green stairwell illuminated by skylights and small punched windows, features a switchback stairway suspended by thin steel rods. The stair is made of maple blocks inset with steel on the tread and riser surface.

The second level features an open living area and kitchen with a deck overlooking the canals to the front and an outdoor courtyard carved from the middle of the west edge of the structure to bring light and air to the center of the home. The ceiling of the living space is dotted with partially recessed, randomly scattered bare light bulbs of varying sizes. The east wall features a bank of built-ins including bookshelves and cabinets, the blackened steel fireplace, and the red stained plywood cabinets of the kitchen. Two bedrooms are located at the rear of the second level.

The third level contains the master suite with its red ceiling and frosted glass enclosed bath. Built-in cabinets along the walls provide closet space. A studio for Glen's wife, artist Edith Beaucage, is located at the rear of the third level.
