Sagaponac House - Revisited
L-Shaped Modernist Home
"The house is composed of two simple rectangular volumes forming an L-Shaped plan. It engages the landscape and the pleasures of being in the country by framing it. The private pool area acts similar to some beaches in teh area, where the beac becomes a stage for exhibitionism by parading bodies.

Inspired by Giacometti's sculture titled, "Figure in a Box between Two Boxes which are Houses", the Sagaponac-House takes the form of minimalist structure hovering over a solid platform within the untouched natural landscape."

thank you so much!!
On the Harririandharriri.com website if you are a fan of avant-garde architecture, one will find a master piece called digital house. It is the absolute representation of 21st century modernism. It is unfortunate that it wasn't feature in your piece. But nevertheless the readers of land living can always on their own research and apreciate the talent of those two beautiful and extremely talented ladies.Thank you so very much for being there and most importantly providing a market place for those of us whom apreciate modernism. graig sterling toronto, canada

Thanks for the comments. I saw the digital house on their website when I received your original email but I was wondering: is it a real home or just an idea? The images all look like CAD drawings and not a finished product. I'd love to see actual pictures of it. Do you know if any exist?

re:anthony
dear anthony Sorry for taking so long to answer your question but i was OFF THE NET!!! since saturday morning on the 16th of october. It as been a trying period,i just got back now.Nevertheless to answer your question about digital house,i beleive the house is a project that the ladies put together in 1997 but haven't found anybody yet to order the "full blown"version of the house i.e with the digital walls. When models of the house where displayed in new-york it generated some interest but the crowd was gun shy.The liquid cristal walls scared a few people, the ladies are looking for someone to take a chance to be the first to have the house built in it's fullblown version.I am resolute to have this house in it's "all-dress" version built as my first ever home(i'm 44).Since janurary i have been endevoring to put together the finances to guive it a go when the time will finally arrive. In the mean time,i will also try to to expose the world to the EXCEPTIONEL talent of these two beautiful and talented ladies.I am not exagerating or being overly dramatic when i say to you Anthony that once the world would have been expose to Digital House it will become the 21st century answer to LeCorbusier Savoye House!!! keep up the great work, graig

Pure Lines Made Pure Dreams
This is my favourite house, in fact I´ve made it as my window theme. Every time I turn on the computer I look at this fantastic house. A simple L, the pure lines give it a fantastic soul. Congratulations Thierry Pfister & Markus Randler
