OH MY GOD!
How sad and lonely would an individual have to be to buy one of these?!!!!

Sad really...
What an utterly pretentious, useless object. On the other hand -- it doesn't swill gasoline the way that other lack-of-a-sex-life disguise, the Hummer, does...

Very sad
I agree - how lonely do you have to be to order one of these? Very sad indeed. What about widescreen? The Nintendo Wii? Utter pretentious rubbish. If you have a spare £35k why don't you go and do something a little more constructive with your money rather than this ego massaging gimic.

looks pretty cool...but not for 45000 dollars! i would rather go shopping with that money rather then spend it on something that i would barely have time to sit in...people who want these should go to parties or something instead...their quite fun

mmm
the guy that designed this thing is rad, lee mcormack or something. he has teamed up with mclaren to deliver this product. Even with mclaren backing the oculas i still expected the price to be around 4k max, not 45k that seams ridiculous, i didn't realize there was a market for such loners. Great product, great design, fancy gadgets, but can't imagine telling the misses she can't watch a movie with my cos im gonna lock myself in my little pod(of which i had to sell your mum's kidney to pay for).

rubbish
i help make these at Bowes in kent, (england) and trust me they cost hardly anythink to make , cheap fibre glass work and paint job ! but why not sell it for $45000 because if its that much people with money will buy it and they must have alot of it to be able to waste it on a toy for themselves so fair play to the owners . cheers nick

WOW!!! is all i have to say, i reeeaaaaalllllyyyy need one of those. I acctually thought i can afford it. So i looked on the web and man $45,000.00 is WAY 2 much i mean it's nice and all but i have been doin' my reaserch and all and i can buy a really nice car and still have enough money left over. And i am only 10. Trust me if you want to ever sell one of those then you have to lower the dang price. I mean not to be rude or anything but LOWER THE DANG PRICE. PLEASE!?

My mate Dave  — February 25, 2008
Think about it people
Think about it. The only person likely to actually NEED one of these is someone that has such a stressful job they need to 'rejuvenate in light'... hence there only selling these to the type of person with serious wedge, so why not sell it for £25k. They'd probably get a matching set...

Price is right
Price is fine. If you are complaining you cant afford it even at $30,000. Actually lowering the price will make it less desirable to the people who are in the market for something like this. £25,000/$45,000 is not a huge amount anyway and I am sure the technology in this does not come cheap.
