Chiasso
Inspired design for the home.
The other day, we received a Chiasso catalog in the mail. We hadn't heard of them before so we must've received their catalog through one of our design magazine subscriptions. Some of their product looks pretty good. We're guessing it's all private label merchandise similar to IKEA since we didn't see or notice any "designer brands" in their catalog or on their website. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Has anyone ever ordered from them? Which piece did you order and how was the quality? Their prices are fairly reasonable so if the quality is good, we just might have to look into them a bit further.

i used to work for them when they had their retail outlets.. they arent a private label such as ikea.. most of the pieces are from common modern companies such as addesso, kikerland, MoMa, umbra, litesource, etc.etc.etc... the prices are decent, the quality is decent - most of the furniture is a knockoff of the classic - ie, chicago chair & ottoman.. but, its affordable design that is cool and durable... if you find soemthing you like though, id probably recommend searching for it online, just to compare prices...

Hi, yes I have ordered from them. I got a cube that could be used for a seat/end table and for storage. It's on wheels. I got some matching pillows too. I love it and the quality seems good. I also, got some CD/DVD storage that I saw in Crate and Barrel for $20 more so I save some money there. Look on line once a week and see what's on sale. Good luck.
