Huge amounts of pesticides, which seep into water tables, are used for crop production. During traditional industrial dyeing processes, heavy metals and carcinogenic chemicals are used to accommodate our consumer-based society’s demand for mass produced goods.
It may have taken 5 years to develop, but the dyes in the Climatex Lifecycle yarns used for the Looolo Textile line are free of all toxic chemicals and are still available in a full range of colours. In our technological age, so much is possible.
In the future, our efforts at LoooLo Textiles will include encouraging Canadian farmers towards sustainable production as well as educating consumers about the impact their choices make."
